A Thousand Pieces

I am a puzzle of a 1000 pieces,

I have been torn apart,

And had my heart,

shattered one too many times.

To the wrong people I am confusing,

The same ones who find my pain amusing,

As if I am simply a game.

My edges are frayed,

And I don’t want to be played,

For I have grown tired of being used.

I am a puzzle of a thousand pieces,

With the right amount of time,

And if everything is fine,

I might one day be complete.
