Sometimes

When night clutches the sky

I look up at the Heavens

And gaze at those stars

A feeling always seizes my being

As thoughts whirl around my mind

Because I cannot help but wonder

In awe and a minuscule something

--most likely my meaningless existance against the Universe--

That the sky can travel Time;

Be it thousands of years past

Or thousands of years yet to travel by

We've all looked up

And seen the same image

Of stars

Circumnavegating the mantle

That we all call The Sky
