Thousands of masks

As I flip the page

A new face appears

An incapacitated beggar, a handsome playboy

A skilled businesswoman, a lovely princess

This is the story of a young actress

So talented, so unique, so kind

And obviously the one chosen by God.

Poverty didn’t defeat her,

Obstacles didn’t hold her back,

Illness only makes her stronger.

An abandoned child,

Struggled to survive

Under the mercy of her powerful, ruthless rival.

But only real gold can shine so bright.

Yesterday,

Her dream was just a dream.

Today,

Her dream comes true

With every role she plays on stage.

Page after page,

My imagination flies through every mask she puts on,

My heart fills with gratitude for every long-awaited ending.

Cruel insults shot towards her, the drops of sour tears

Or the applause booming behind the dancing curtain.

I admire her courage,

Her love of acting,

Her love of life.
