Fists clenched tightly around my noose
I have a grasp on life
But also a means to end myself,
and save me from the strife.
My mind swims with fears
but my life I had not fought for,
My eyes fill with tears
But I never minded the water.
The rope is coarse
and scratches me,
but pain replaces fear
Sweet relief with just the thought;
It ending now, it ending here.
But cowards hang while others stand and fight.
I found my self, but have yet to see
my reflection in the light.
I found my darkest hour had turned to years
I fight for time
I fight for life
I fight fearing,
The end.
