Three A.M.

I don’t think I’ve ever felt this lonely

I don’t think the pain was ever this great

But here I am, it’s three a.m.

Late, in the nights I think

Or rather don’t think

Don’t think, don’t remember, don’t speak

Don’t sleep…

I think…

I don’t think

I don’t think about your car or the tree

Or if you were thinking of me

How we hadn’t spoken in a while

I don’t think

I don’t think about your smile, the memories

Or the moments in which you took your last breath

I don’t think

I don’t know

I’m not ready to let this go

But here I am, it’s three a.m.

Late

Don’t think, don’t remember

Don’t sleep

Just taste the salty, bitter reminders

Of how I loved you so

But don’t think, don’t remember

            Don’t know

If I ever let it show

But here I am, it’s four a.m.

Late

And I don’t sleep
