Three Little Words

Three little words

They're on the tip of my tongue

As our eyes meet

And these emotions have sprung

I love you

Though this desire runs deep

And we'd be a perfect pair

To you, no words did I speak

For you never could care

I love you

I try not to stare

But you're sitting right there

Running fingers through your hair

So unaware

I love you

I've isolated myself now

Somewhere no one can reach

Building walls of protection

So high, no one can breach

I loved you

My feelings are so scattered

I can't help but mutter three little words,

It never mattered
