Three Stanzas

When will people start to care?
All around them wrongs are being done
A poem here, a poem there
I now think that people try to stay dumb

It can be scary, I know
To face the tsunami of truth
For once you pull the lever that I show
You will be forced our of your protective booth

Stepping through the veil of stability
May be the bravest thing you ever do
But only then can you see
That what you were doing, you had no clue
