Three Things in One

The One Thing I Couldn’t Live Without

Is Three things in One

A person,

      An object,

                  And an Idea

A Person:

In flesh and in Spirit -

Meek and mild as a lamb.

An Object:

                  Crinkly paper,

Leather smell.

 I hold and read

            His Word,

Breathe it in…

                                    Words.

An Idea I hold close to my heart:

The lamb led to the slaughter.

Blessings that should be his –

                                          He puts on me.

                              I put on Him.

I cannot take Him off.

Without him, there

Is

No

 Life.

Everywhere,

 He is there.

He is my person:

Jesus, all encompassing,

All engrossing,

My existence.

He is my object:

In the Bible,

                  He is the Bible.

He is the living Word

He is my cherished idea:

Beloved death

Cursed – persecuted

                 Berated

CRUCIFIED.

“Without the shedding

Of blood - - - - - - - - - -

There is no Forgiveness

Of sins”.

Could I leave Him behind?

Not a chance.

I’d die.
