Three Words

A broken home is where she came from.

A dad, a man who showed no love.

People she desired to never become.

A mom, a woman she was sick of.

Normally, she could ignore the hurtful words,

But those three words will continue to be with her.

The mother repeats it like the morning birds,

The father claims he’s just the chauffeur.

The siblings pay no mind,

As if it's just something they love to hear.

There she realize the love they share is blind,

And she should just disappear.

The father, the man that’s considered her protection,

Leaves when things get tough.

Again, a sign of rejection.

The girl now feels like she had enough.

As she plans her escape,

The three words remain in her head.

It’s like her mindset was reshaped.

She plead for it to leave, to not end up dead.

But these words felt brand-new,

The three words i hate you.
