As I laid in bed that night

These... odd thoughts occurred to me

Like a first droplet on a window

What if those

Three words

I love you

Didn't exist to her

No, she loves me

I tossed over and closed my eyes

Another droplet hits the window

Did she say that to you at the dance?

I turned over on my other side

When was it the last time you two held hands?

More pitters on the glass

More patters on the window

Suddenly it's pouring

I sat up drenched

I was covered in my own sweat

My own tears

The thunder wouldn't stop rumbling 

There I look at the time

6 a.m.

Time for school

To go see her

And hope she says those

Three words

I love you

I subconsciously watched her

I didn't catch those little things

Until late at night

When I laid there

Restless

By winter, I felt shitty

I felt scared to be near her

She made me feel sick

Feel wrong

One night I went to my sister

And cried to her

I hate her side hugs

I hate her irritated glares

I hate her not looking at me

I hate her not saying

Those three words back

She made me empty

A corpse of anxiety and tears

I wished every night

As I laid in my bed

For her to tell me

Those three words

But it never came up

And I wondered when it would
