Three Years

Location

You sail to Japan

A completely foreign land

With a band

Of brothers

Blue surrounds you

What will you do

Except what they tell you

They are in charge

You think of home

And all you've known

It chills you to the bone

Oh how you miss them so

You hear muffled cries

From some of the other guys

For their past lifes

And for missing their family

Three years drag

Until you carry your bags

Suffering from jet lag

Through the airport

She stands and smiles

And keeps it together while

Her heart beats a mile

A minute

You served your country bravely

While being in the Navy

You smile and say "Baby,

I'm home."
