Thrill of the Arts

countless hours in my room

playing a song for nobody to hear

fixing all the small details

forgetting it over time

countless hours on the stage

theatre or band performance

all the same, the critics

and the fans

countless hours crying about

music something that’s pointless

to other people’s lives

j.g.

love's gonna get you killed, but pride's gonna be the death of you.
