Through The Dark

My body ached and that caused me to whimper

The sound of my heart beat on the monitor scared me

The IV's burned my skin

I tried to speak but my voice was numb and my throat was dry

I was dressed in a white gown with a little bit of blood

I remember what happened and how I got here

I remember being in pain for weeks and coughing up blood

I remember it being hard to breathe

I remember seeing a lot of blood come out of me

I remember being in a ambulance

I remember praying all night with my parents

I remember hearing the most heart breaking news

I remember everything

I can't be cured
