Through the Dark
Through the Dark
If it were dark
I could still see you
If it formed red
I would still see blue
I miss your smile
I miss your touch
If it were just one time
That would never be enough
Now I'm standing here
Fighting this war
The scar from your death
Still so sore
I'll progress in life
And live our dream
But just like the choir
My heart still sings
A pulsating beat
In rhythm with your wings
A loss today
Means victory tomorrow
I refused to cry
Because I know you hate sorrow
You wanted the best
And not just for me
But in memory of you
That's what I'll be
A vibrant yet cold heart
Not set for this degree
Without you here
I'll learn to pull through
Because even through the dark
I would still see you
