Through the eyes

What do people see from the inside out?

How do people look past everything and

see only to the inside? The eyes

are the only passage to the reality,

the passageway to my soul.

The cold, dampness of the outside world

is almost too much to bare. As the

fog rolls in, there is no stopping the darkness.

No one can escape it, it has come for us all

as it always will day and night.

When I look around, all I see is sadness

across every person’s features. It may

no be apparent to everyone, but if you actually

look you will see it.

On the outside, everything is fake.

Most people have plastered on their masks

and believe that they need to make

others accept them before themselves.

But you only see their true feelings

Through the eyes of the beholder.
