Through the Eyes of an Optimist

Through the Eyes of an Optimist
                                           By: Kegan Graham

Why can't anyone see the world that I see,
in my sleep,
in my dreams,
and all the time?
From the buzzing of a bee,
to the pounding of the rain.
The world is a lovely place,
yet my words are written in vain.
In the dark, I find the light.
Through the wrong, I see the right.
Why can't anyone see the world that I see,
in my sleep,
in my dreams,
and all the time?
The world is a lovely place,
and here is what I mean:
Even when the sun isn't shining,
There is still a silver lining.
Even when the sun isn't shining,
the grass still grows,
the tress never rest,
life still goes,
and the beauty shows.
In the eyes of an optimist,
the world is fine,
it's beauty is divine.
Can't you see?
Can't you see the beauty?
    In the rain.
        In the snow.
            In the heat.
                And in the cold.
In the eyes of an optimist,
                    the world will always shine.

I wrote this because it is who I am. I am an optimist. When times are bad, I try to find the good things in life, no matter how simple. If you are going through some tough times, then read this. Maybe it will help you.
