Through the Eyes of the Prince

Beauty was she

For none could disagree.

A lose of her slipper

Made me want to kiss her.

Why did she go

Should I not follow?

My ball has to end

For I could no longer attend.

My mind and heart began to race

As the glass slipper mocked the reflection of my face.

"I have to find her" I screamed

But how could I, she could be just a dream.

Then I began to think

I haven't even had time to blink.

Is their such a thing as love at first sight

and if so did I see my Light?

Is she the one?

How could she be the one.

Was there a tug at my heart?

Or was I just falling apart.

"That's right" I began to say

I can't let myself become astray.

I was blind by beauty

and had forgotten my duties.

There's no such thing as true love

I was blinded by the sight of a beautiful dove.

As I looked down at the glass slipper

I knew how to forget her.

I lifted the glass slipper above my head

Then crushed it till my hand bled.

THE END
