Through the Eyes of the Wolf

My granddaughter was never told the Hood Family Curse-

A curse that has plagued us for years –

When the moon is full the wolf comes out –

Sadly, my granddaughter, Red, learned the hard way-

She was on her way to visit me-

Or so she thought-

Really, I was on my way to hunt her-

My inner wolf was released by the moon-

I knew the wolf would spell her doom-

But I didn’t account for the huntsman accompanying her-

I was forced to sneak behind them as they made their way to my home-

So, I decided to go in my room and fool them in darkness-

As they entered together I requested to see Red privately-

Since the lights were off she did not see the evil-

Not the fangs, the fur, or these eyes-

Yes, the story you heard is true-

Because the only one to leave my room was I-

Now it’s time for the huntsman to learn the truth.
