Through Gentle Eyes
You’ll see the world as you dig deep into their eyes- eyes that have seen a multitude of life times in a matter of one; through loss, love, and triumph. They will present you with stories as they guide you through them holding you by the hand, introducing you to their heartbreaks and romances that made them feel invincible against all odds. A time when life was their playground of freedom and joy for them to explore and venture off into a world unknown and forbidden, yet so unexplainable and magical through the eyes of innocent children new to it all.
They shall forget the sun and the moon in a moment of silence as they run wild and free with each passing memory repeating inside their minds, like a lover’s soul watching a forgotten dream rain upon them like the shooting stars they once shared with their promised love- a love that was meant to last an eternity, only to be taken away by the game of life which honors us all with the same grand finale we refer to as “Death”. But remember them for the people they once were and have come to be… An old shell cannot break the human spirit- the same spirit we’ve all shared side by side when we thought ourselves to be immortal and immune to the laws of time and age, just to realize as years pass by that we are all dealt the same hand in the end.
So learn from those tired eyes. Absorb each and every word of wisdom being served to you, for you one day will walk in fields of gold like they have. You will experience love and passion like many of those that are not with us any longer. You shall chase after dreams you may never catch, but damn where they worth each and every struggle; because as we know, in the end, we will lay our best memories down on the table and reminiscence of what we once knew, what we know, and what we’ve lived.
