Through a Kaleidoscope

Looking through a kaleidoscope, the world would not seem strange

The view could not be distorted more than it has throughout the days

Instead of seeing colors displayed in patterns that seem unreal

I see poverty, struggle, and pain that can't be healed

The struggle that is seen, caused by money, no doubt,

incudes the millions of people, suffering without

Without homes, without food, struggling just to live

The vicious cycle continues, we must continue to give

Give more money to go to college, get an educaion and a job,

what happens if I have no money, should I just stop

or should I face the obstacle that is my block from fulfilling my dream of being a doc

Money is the issue, I support myself

My parents would help me but they've been through hell

Paying more and more, losing more each day

I've begun to realize, I don't want that fate

So I'll focus, study, keep straight A's,

apply for scholaships so my dream of being a doctor is not permanantly delayed

These ten years of school will indeed be tough

but they'll be worth it,I'll be glad that I didn't give up

With a doctorates degree in medicine the pain and struggle will be in my past

being a doctor will transform my life path.
