Through my eyes

Bating my eyes at the darkness and round faces Brown places designated for us. I must distrust that Pale face that has lied and taken away my rights My civil rights you see I am apart of a civilization a nation built on in god we trust a democracy, hypocrisy a monopoly but no pieces and no board to play on I just lay on the hot concrete as i'm beat ,beat with a police wand as screams of terror fill the streets Beats like from a drum BOOM BOOM gloom is the mood I am fighting for my rights to be me to free to do what comes naturally but I am held Down I soon begin to become one with the concrete and replay in my head one day we will be free To walk out my door and to have settled the score no more gore and harshness I will not miss this but I will forever remember my fight for my Civil rights.
