Through the Present

Date with destiny can't afford to fail in all the things testing me Mother Nature, how long did it take Father Time to shape her I can't admire as he makes my nights later On the last stretch of a marathon race And the only thing ahead is space But there's still sores in my eyes that line the sides to distract Waiting and watching for me to slip, to quit and then they'll attack Just trying to reach the tape before I fall The clock on the wall won't be stalled So making the most of now prevails above all.
