" Through the Storm"

(poems go here) I gaze at the ceiling, listen to the storm overcome I can’t remove the feeling, everything in me is numb Thoughts flood into my vacant mind as I hear the rain pour I think about previous times I’m hoping you knock on my door The thought of you consumes me I then recollect what’s gone I don’t want to let this be I still need to hold on Memories of you will not be omit you are so very dear But I need to grasp a grip, as I realize, I wipe a tear It turned over in my mind as a bolt of lightning appears All of these feelings won’t go away and that’s my biggest fear When I turn off the lights to lay my head and heart to rest I’m hoping the war between our minds is just only but a test Over the love that you delivered I want to undo what has been done I want to turn around and see you, but the darkness has overcome the sun Everything I have is weakness, the strength you took with you I want to be together, but you keep telling me it’s all through I will run through the storm hoping you are the rainbow that renews
