Through Thee Eyes Of A Human

I used to be the sweetest girl,

someone you'd dreamed to marry.

The girl who walked with courage and grace,

the girl who was ashamed of her tears,

and resented her fears,

yeah that was me.

I was someone who liked the simple things of life.

Within a complicated world

i never asked for too much,

until i gave up searching or trying

just settling, doubting and regretting.

Letting my passion for opportunities slip through my fingers.

Letting love lie to me, letting the troubles of my mind overcome me.

Losing all faith in what i believed,

at this moment i questioned whether i was fortunate enough or worthy.

Smiling use to be a joy but until pain concealed my hope upon my face,

I wonder if people ever get lost in my stare?

I wonder if life still looks forward to me?

I wonder if i can be the girl that I've lost?
