Through the Window Pane

Indeed there is no handbook or class

made for teaching you to look straight through the glass.

Instead humans natural curiosity

sets in motion potential velocity.

We all plan to look right through

because with a window what else would you do?

Then why doesn'y the same idea apply

to all the people I see walking by?

Outer appearence and labels get to define

all the struggles and joys we keep confined.

We don't pay attenetion to whats around the window, nor the type of glass.

So why are we conditioned so well, to judge be race and class?

We've made it okay to make terrible jokes

all because we don't see the effects.

We ignore the pains we feel inside

because now we've all been taught to hide.

In our world plastic coated exuses and fake smiles

are more popular then iPhones by miles.

If we spend our lives staring at what is meant to be looked past,

We must ask outselves how long can that really all last?
