Throughout the Years

From the moment I was born, I became the little girl you'd always adore. You went from being the highschool jock To dedicating hours for collecting rocks. You became great at playing dolls, And making the best leaf piles every fall. You mastered the art of building snowmen, And playing with barbies in the den. You sang me songs every night, And taught me telling the truth is always right. You held me tight whenever I was scared- Finding a dad like you is rare. You encouraged me to become part of a team. You have always dared me to dream. As I look back on the years, One thing is very clear. Having a daughter to adore you is something you'll never lack, And I love you to the moon and back.

I love this poem so much! Having a father who does all these silly things (that I'm sure he never admits to) is great. This poem was so sweet and cute, and utterly touching. I really hope you shown this to him! I'm sure he'd love it!

Becca.
