Throw Away Hate

Sitting with my laptop,

Catching up with the news.

Looking at the headlines,

Feeling the blues.

“Murder”, “Crime”, “Hate Crime”,

Are all I see.

More negative than positive,

Nothing has changed over time.

Throw away hate,

And love everybody.

No matter what their differences,

Or similarities.

Throw away hate,

And respect each other.

Even if their views and

Opinions are different.

Throw away hate,

And learn to get along.

Smile, be polite, and be kind,

To everyone you meet.

Everyone would be kinder,

Wars and crime would be non-existent.

Better well-being overall,

And better futures for future generations.

Yesterday is done,

But today is here and tomorrow is near.

Let’s learn from the past,

And correct the wrongs.

Anger is not worth

Holding onto.

Stop the flames,

And throw away hate.
