Throwing Caution To The Wind

With tears in my eyes,
I look up at you.
Cautiously at first,
I slowly rise.
With tension in the air and weary space between us.
I stand before you as I am.
I show my true colors.
If only the world could see you as I do.
They would see the monster I mistook for a hero.
You have guts to tell such viscous lies.
Haven't you learned?
The truth will find you.
When it does, I'll still love you like I did so many months ago.
Now I know better than to share my hearts deepest secrets.
This time, I'm out for blood.
I dare you to break me down again
