Thy Truth

How even I confess

The truth that lies inward

Toiling in my distress I cannot move forward?

For I cannot confide

Thy truth away my self

Rules I couldn’t abide

To tell my impish elf

I’m marked forever more

By my stitched outward sin

Streaks of my shame soar

Lights unable to dim

My child I love the most

Unable to know truth

I take no pride to boast

I’m the ultimate sleuth
