Tick

A girl stands alone in a jeering crowd with tears streaming down her face; Tick. A boy is taught that he is treated so harshly because of his race; Tick. A woman juggles two jobs and raising three children on her own; Tick. A man is shot, and from his mouth escapes a moan; Tick. Because she desperately craved a man’s love, a young girl gave her body away; Tick. Because of cancer and drugs, fewer people see their next birthday; Tick. Because we see a man who looks different, we laugh and we judge; Tick. Because we are self indulged, we hate and hold many a grudge; Tick. What has happened to love shown through action? Tick. To where has compassion run? Tick. Each act of hate and indifference Tick. Adds to the bomb in my conscience. Tick. Without love, Tick. I am going to EXPLODE.
