Tick Tock
Tick Tock
Tick, Tock. Tick Tock. Time goes by and the clock never stops.
Like our heart, but that will eventually stop someday.
I know in my later years of life, my heart will stop.
My heart is my internal heart clock, for how much time I have in Earth
Tick, Tick, Tick, I hear it ticking down the minutes I have left.
Because that’s the way of life, things have to die.
But I still have a lot of things I want to do before that day comes.
All of us have dreams in which we want to realize.
I want to have a girl who completes me before I say goodbye to the world
But…
All I hear in my head it’s a Bum, Bum, Bum… My heartbeat.
That clock I can never get away from.
You can’t run away or hide from it because you have it inside of you.
Everywhere you turn, you see different internal clocks,
Some older than others, and some barely starting their first hour.
All I can do is remember all my memories of the past
The moments of my life
The happy ones and the saddest ones
I have been living by the rhythm of my heart
And all I could say is I wish I could still live by it…
But now I just have a little time left
Tick, Tock, I’m running out of time , the anticipation of myself.
I must do something, and not waste any of the time I have.
10 minutes have past, now 13 minutes. I’m writing, recording my time.
We do it all the time, but we just don’t realize it.
One more minute… The doctors are here waiting for the last breath.
My family on the other side of my bed, waiting for me to give them one more look of kindness I have inside me.
My heart beats for the last time; I exhale my last breath…
My internal clock just tick tock for the last time
