Tick... tock

24 hrs. and counting

Not one word

The seconds tick by..

Tick tock.. tick tock

Not one sound

Make the clock stop

Let me drown in my thoughts

Please its a battle that needs to be fought

I try to be strong

One breath at a time

Smiling for the pleasure for others

But inside its a sea of despair

Who will be able to see and care

Its a story that is untold

But I do not think it can start to unfold

Its as simple as a sigh

One that quiets people

Its like a heart breaking

One crack at a time

One that no one can hear but you

Its like thoughts tearing you apart

Your voice inside trapped in a cage

When all you want to do is stand up on a stage

You hug a teddy bear to ease the pain

People ask where is the fire in my eyes

I stare back and sigh

Maybe at long last

This is

Goodbye
