Tick Tock

Just a few seconds is all it takes

Tick Tock Tick Tock

Feeling your dignity disappear

Tick Tock Tick Tock

As he lays you down, but not as a father should

Tick Tock Tick Tock

Minutes pass; everything numb now

Tick Tock Tick Tock

Your body, your mind

Tick Tock Tick Tock

Nothing makes sense anymore

Tick Tock Tick Tock

The thought of saying anything haunts you

Not because you do not want to,

But because he has threatened you

“She will hate you forever” are the words

Burned into memory as if they were just said yesterday

As the world crumbles around you

And the sickening thought of yourself

You do nothing but cry,

And all that is left in the night, is the screaming of the clock

Tick! Tock! Tick! Tock!
