Ticking Watches
Over shutters and under stairs
Ticking watches are everywhere
Can't see the point in worries or cares
'Cause ticking watches are everywhere
There was a day when things did matter
Glasses full, never shattered
But nowadays I sit and stare
'Cause ticking watches are everywhere
Ticking and timing it
Seeing slow seconds lift
Up above midnight clicks
Time, it's just emptiness
Over shutters and under stairs
Ticking watches are everywhere
Can't see the point in worries or cares
'Cause ticking watches are everywhere
