Ticking Watches


Over shutters and under stairs Ticking watches are everywhere Can't see the point in worries or cares 'Cause ticking watches are everywhere There was a day when things did matter Glasses full, never shattered But nowadays I sit and stare 'Cause ticking watches are everywhere Ticking and timing it Seeing slow seconds lift Up above midnight clicks Time, it's just emptiness Over shutters and under stairs Ticking watches are everywhere Can't see the point in worries or cares 'Cause ticking watches are everywhere
