Tides
A cumbersome struggle
Between the moon and the sea
Pushing and pulling
To be set, to be free,
To indulge in its own satisfaction
To retreat from the shore
For the enjoyment of wanderers
And lovers for more.
A rumble in the earth
Send quivers through the air
Forcing the ground open
With a depth of despair.
It unleashes a beast,
Triumphant and full of pride,
That even the beauty above
Cannot control nor even hide.
It rises to raze,
To torment its holder
By directing its wrath
At the people asunder.
The warm, glistening sea,
As they once saw her,
Was now a looming monster,
A devastation waiting to be unleashed.
