The Tides of Change

I piece together the parts of the heart wondering what I could change

I scream to heaven as if I wanted rain

I ask what life has offered me as I see children in pain

Why have I gained and they lost

I pray to Allah, that they are fed before bed

I regret, I regret but I swear I wont forget

Timeless poet with his mind in the clouds

I have seen more than my days

I gaze

I cry

my old ways

I pray, I pray

I hope that I can change

Physically mentally

And possibly everything in between

Lifelong champ I scream for more green

No more deforestation of the amazon’s green

I can’t take it anymore

World hunger is driving me off my course

I can bear to see a mother cry as her baby dies

While we eat, steal with a moral corruption all the time

What’s change without a tear from the brain?

What’s a thought without an idea?

What’s a conclusion with out an introduction?

I can’t lie but I can’t believe

Trust hard to earn but life is possibly everything I see

I want change more than you can imagine

I want to let kids dream about lions and dragons

Give the gift to gasp and I swear I’ll speak to the moon

See you think I’m crazy but my ideas will be a monsoon

I’m traumatized by the hate in the range

Hopefully I can make change.

Its hard to say I’m happy

Quiet and shy you can’t map me

I want to change it all

From young kids getting shot while at mall

To death over ball

I want to help kids from the ghettos smile

I want to help African kids that ran mile all for safety

I want to change the world I live in because lately

It hasn’t been the world we knew

Death, murder, destruction from people just like you

I hope It doesn’t hurt to tell the truth I want make life better

For the youth.
