The Tides of Change
Tides of Change
Drifting
Shifting
Divided our peoples
Like seagulls
Flying in the wind
The lighthouse of hope
Flickering and fading
As sorrow seeps
Into the masses
As words are crafted
For ignorant ears
And rising fears
For mothers, minorities, and daughters
The Tides of Change
Crashing
Thrashing
Drowning us
With intolerance
And here I dance
