The time

There comes a time in history when injustice’s cold hands are torn from the neck of integrity When inequality is over shadowed by impartiality regardless of skin color, tint or shade The time had come when Rosa Parks sat on a bus in the front because she was tired physically and spiritually The time had come when young African-Americans staged a sit-in in Greensboro, North Carolina No matter the consequences or the hate thrown in their way, They stood tall Since when did being copper skinned make you less? It didn’t. It made you stronger Prepared by the golden sun until perfection, reaching its peak you were released into the world born to make a difference The difference was made when Martin Luther King Jr. said his speech And when Marian Anderson sung making history Discrimination, injustice, prejudice, inequality, all different forms of hatred but the Time has come and changed the past; it has run through time shifting the landscape of what was to what is it. May alterations continue until we our one unifying world where justice is not a word but a truth
