Time

Passing me by, my life is underway
Same body, same face
Came a long way since that day
I made sure I didn't become just an image of a creation I once created in my head to make sense of certain situations
If I was someone else in the same body, would my mind be as clear and open
I feel wounded but not broken
I've seen strength in the weak
I've felt love within all the hate
I've kept quite when things grew louder
I wanted my voice to be heard amongst the rest but the messages I wanted to spread wouldn't have made a difference
In a world of names and places
Nobody listens, so what is the point of a name, I don't know where I stand in the universe but I know I am just a silhouette in front of the sun
In a world of everything having a reason
Do I really have to justify one?
I am a question on a quest to find my answer
It's not given to me on a platform
In a world of time measuring
Is there really a difference between a second and a year because time is moving faster than it appears
In a world of my own with the right principles, I can live like I'm dying because I am
Each breathe of oxygen is killing me slowly but keeping me alive as time passes me by
