The Time

Where has the time gone?

The time to seek, write and tell?

Where has the time gone?

Then even the enemy was wished well.

Where has the time gone?

The time of prophets and fate.

Where has the time gone?

Time by stories of late.

Where has the time gone?

I see only machines.

Where has the time gone?

In bright silver screens.

Surely this has its own cost,

For Fate must regain what its lost

Our pendulum swings further back,

Brushing away the mud we track

I may not be a happy poet. I may not be a perfect poet. I may not be a poet who can move a million with a few short words. But make no mistake, for I am, and always will be, a poet.
