Time

The music was loud
The smiles were bright
And our youth felt as if it would live
forever.

And

6 months later
The piano keys have faded
The written promises burned with
times ticking bomb
And the friendship
Is just as visible
As the thin, crippling air.

Who knew time could change so much
And who knew time could make us forget
everything we ever were
