Time

Time does not fly, Not even when you're having fun. It ticks on slowly, achingly. And stops for no one. No, it goes on, that's for sure. Taking its toll on body and mind. And there is no cure. Not for time. We are all slaves to it. Hurrying, worrying, scurrying, or bored to bits. Procrastinating. Do we want it to move fast? Or keep its steady pace? Or do we want these moments to last? After all, life is not a race. Although it does feel that way at times. Death as the finish line, slowly approaching. It's really a crime. Time is completely encroaching. But it doesn't care.

Entering for the "Slam What You Will Scholarship". Time means something different to all of us. For me, in high school, it varies between going too slow and not going slow enough.
