Time

Time

Everyone believes that time will give them life

But happens when the sand

Begins to run out or is gone?

What is left for you then?

We measure our lives with these things

That has numbers and hands

They tick as each moment goes by

We measure our happiness

And sadness based on this tiny sound

That radiates through the house

They say time can be bent in space

But is it really just our minds

Creating this façade to make us believe

We have the chance to take back our past

Yet, here we are

Waiting to grow up and get wiser

But we doubt the ability for it to be taken away from us

The tap of a pencil at the ending of class

And the tick of a time bomb waiting to explode

They are exactly the same

They both end a moment that can never be returned

So, what is time really?

Is it really what the world revolves around?

Day and night?

Or is it just the end of the something we thought we knew

Think! Think!  Think!

Just think of this

A grandfather clock strikes every hour

It is a moment forever lost

Reminding you that the ticks will soon run out

And soon your hour glass will stop running too.
