A Time

There was a time we were so close,
Two chains linked together,
Two rings made with each other,
The yin and yang
Cuz we were so different.

Now? you ask,
Well I don't know,
You see,
The time of lies and cries are here,
Here to destroy what we built up,
I was ready to fight our demons,
But you just left...

We messed up,
I did my time,
Now I waited for you to step to the plate,
I waited,
And waited,
And waited,
You never did and now look at us.

I don't understand why your shutting me out,
I was falling into a black pit of despair,
We were falling,
But then you reached on to a ledge sticking out and grabbed it and saved your self.

I kept falling until I was numb to the feeling of the downward pull of dread and pain,
Then one day it changed to regret,
I was tired of the quietness,
Lack of insight,
The abandonment,
The loneliness,
The anger felt good that one day I gave in..

I am dead now,
I have no feeling other than the pain and regret,
But may the world live on cuz I'm no longer a threat.
May you live on,
Oh precious king,
I'm tired of your bullshit,
Now give me a break.
