Time

I thought I had more time

They told me I was lucky

I had known you were fading

But that's just it

I didn't

The doctors had said before

"This is the end"

But you never quit

So why would this time be any different?

I felt so blind-sided

They said youhad a few more days

Or even weeks if we were lucky

But they lied

You had merely hours

I didn't get to say all that I wanted

I thought I had more time
