Time

"You are so young, you have so much time"

Never mixed well with

"Life is short."

So I never poured my time in a hot bucket

Sitting in the sun as it evaporates into the last place

I wanted it to go--

Away.

Time is so fragile.

As much as I want to believe

That it is not this straight line with a point at the end

It is.

I am moving too fast towards a too soon dot

On that time that is me

And my efforts

My energy

My everything

That is me.

Too afraid to waste me.

Too afraid to give you me

For too long

For not enough

Of you.
