Time

There are days when all you can do is think. Think about the stuggles you're going through, the stress life puts you under. Think about all the things that make you happy and all that makes you sad. You wake up and you feel weighed down by the struggles that you carry, and rather than get lighter through the day it feels as though the problems of everyone else are being piled onto your weary shoulders.

But somehow you find time to sleep, and in your dreams you are weightless. You have no thoughts dragging you down, no problems that need to be tended to, no insecurities that break you apart. When you sleep you see the life you could have if you didn't have to think. If your thoughts would just be quiet. You want to feel that freedom always.

And while it seems like it will take years, one day, you wake up, and you are happy. You feel free and you have no idea why. You go through your day weightless and unburdened. And then like a lightbulb being put into a socket you have a realization. All of the things that were draggin you down, that you thought would never unchain themselves from you, are finally gone. You have grown as a person, and you have shed all the problems and worries of the person that you were before.

You are free to walk with your head held high and you face glowing with joy. You know that you are stronger now because of your past, so when you face new struggles that weigh on your mind, they aren't as heavy. You are able to deal with problems that used to make you feel like you would fall apart.

There will be days that all you can be is happy because you are not your struggles and your thoughts, but the person that knows how to deal with them. You are the person who survived, who grew, who blossomed into the amazing being you are now. And now that you are free, you will never let yourself be trapped again.
