Time

Shadows pass me by, People on the run, Life moving to fast, Leaving us behind. There is no power In the voice of a child, Begging the world to stop! There is only time, Stretching before her hand, Creating miracles And taking them away. She can only go with it, Ride the current And enjoy the ride. Before life leaves her side, And time abandons her, Love is lost, And joy can't be found. Time has blessed her, He can also curse her. She can scream all she wants. Or she can smile, And ignore the ever present tock, Of a distant clock.

Hello! This is the second poetry site I have had the joy to be apart of! I've been writing poetry for years, but a few years ago was the first time I decided to take anything I wrote myself seriously. Some of the poems on here are copies of ones I made on another poetry site. http://deepundergroundpoetry.com/poets/Karrabear/
