Time

time is a funny thing

it slips between my fingers like water

when i forget to look

but sticks to my fingers like honey

when i focus on it

it has the ability to cause fear or excitement

it can pick you up and suspend you midair

or throw you into the past with ease

or if it pleases

it will fast forward your life

until your future is no longer a distant star

but stares back at you

blinding you

time is unforgiving

it can make you feel sad or glad

but never calm

unless you learn to find the correct viscosity

between honey and water
