Time
My soul, this empty place in my chest all started with a painful shot to the heart. As the bullet went in, it plagued my thoughts, stole my presence and clawed its way through every memory I owned. When I met him, the impalement of my heart started to reverse, my fear and the painful memories the shot had grazed, didnt hurt anymore. I started to fill back up again and learn to love. He watered and nurtured my shriveling soul. Made my life bloom like it hasn’t been scared. So happy, I was doing better. Then the quarantine hit. Took the thing that reversed that bullet. My bullet wound had found another trigger and started to move forward, infect my thoughts and presence and eat away at my untouched soul. I was allowed to talk with him for a week.I started feeling better, stronger, fuller. Those moments were soon to be lost. I became empty, lonely and desperate to stop the bullet imprinted in my soul go any farther. I reach out, hidden by a page. Once something came back everything was progressing forward, the bullet being extracted from my soul. My presence returned and my heart beats started to dip back in to pump life through my veins. To fill the hollowness I once felt. But hiding the thing that’s giving me life comes with a heavy price. I got stuck and one thing layered on top of another and I was at a standstill, mentally, physically, and emotionally. Pain returned to seep through the walls of my soul. But I hold onto a warm feathery hope that sometimes leaves and isn't enough but I know will be back to help me on my way. All this has taken so much time but time takes you on an interesting journey of change. It has been a wild ride. Thank you , Time.
